Modern Techno Mix - 31/03/2012

Barring a few songs off the Ghost In The Shell tribute album, all of these tracks are lest than a year old. I always had the impression that modern techno was stagnating but upon embarking upon a techno spending spree on Beatport, and digging a little deeper, I found a surprisingly diverse range of sounds. Techno seems to be healthier than ever. I found myself mostly gravitating towards darker edges of the spectrum I still picked a few choice lighter tracks to mix things up a bit.

This shit is a lot of fun to mix, despite arrangements being unpredictable, sounds levels being all over and having all sorts of keys to deal with.

This mix is early 90's rave and hardcore, most of it being fairly obvious choices. The old Prodigy material still shines as much as it used to - shame they transitioned to turdrock or whatver they make now. Take it back to the oldschool boys.
